The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is overseeing the implementation of $52 million in federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program funding made available through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Public Law 117-58. These funds will support the expansion of an electric vehicle (EV) charging network across the State of Connecticut’s (State) Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFC).

In this Request for Proposals (RFP), CTDOT is seeking Proposers for Phase 1b of its NEVI program. Proposed projects must be located within one drivable mile from any exit or intersection along an AFC. AFCs include the entirety of I-84, I-91, I-95, I-395, and Route 7. While prior RFPs prioritized projects in specific zones along Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs), this solicitation includes all AFCs across the state. Up to $20 million is available for this round of funding.
