Whitney Avenue Improvements Phase 1
Roadway construction and traffic signal installation along Whitney Avenue from Canner Street to Cliff Street. The project will install a new asphalt bike path along the east side of the road and revise traffic patterns and intersection designs to increase safety for all roadway users. Typical work includes demolition, curb installation, concrete sidewalk, concrete sidewalk ramps and driveways, raised asphalt crosswalks and intersections, storm drainage, milling and paving, pavement markings, traffic signs, and traffic signal equipment. One traffic signal is proposed to be fully removed and replaced and one will be modified and upgraded.
