Title: Planning Consultant
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 5/13/2025
Due Date: 5/21/2025
The Planning consultant will provide review, analysis, and reporting for Development Applications (Rezonings, Special Exceptions, Site Plans, etc) for staff reports and other administration of the City’s Zoning Ordinance. The services will be on an as-needed basis for the Planning Division, as they are short-staffed until new staff members are hired or trained.
The work shall be assigned by the Planning Manager and done in a timely manner with assigned deadlines. The consultant shall review each application with the City of Pontiac Zoning Ordinance and its compliance with the ordinance.
The consultant may need to attend occasional virtual and in-person meetings, including but not limited to pre-application with an applicant or a monthly technical review meeting with other city review divisions, such as Engineering, Fire, and Oakland County Water Resource Commission. There may be an occasional need to attend and present on a case(s) at a Board or Commission Meeting, depending on the workload of cases of the division at that time.
