Dept. Of Agriculture - General Services - Replace Compressors In HVAC System

The Alabama Department Of Agriculture and Industries is seeking quotes for all labor and materials to replace two (2) compressors in our HVAC System located at the Richard Beard Building, 1445 Federal Drive, Montgomery, AL 36107.

Suppliers who need assistance with submitting their bid may contact the Alabama Buys helpdesk at (334) 353-0700.

Suppliers will enter the total dollar amount to remove current compressors and install the new compressors.

Supplier will be responsible for the following:

(1) Removing the current compressors.

(2) Install two (2) new compressors.

(3) Perform a startup to ensure system starts up properly.

(4) Run test to check for freon leaks.
Compressors To Be Replaced:

(1) EMERSON COPELAND Scroll Compressor - Model #: ZP137KCE-TFD-950, Serial #: 23E594ALL.  This compressor will go into a Trane Unit - Model #: GEVE30041E2CA0TBB0J10005, Serial #: W13H14120.

(2) EMERSON Copeland Scroll - Model #: ZP137KCE-TFD-950, Serial #: 20C816ACL.  This compressor will go into a Trane Unit - Model #: GEVE30041E2CA0TBB0J10005, Serial #: W13H14119.

Note: Supplier must be able to provide a one (1) year warranty on each compressor.  Warranty begins on the date of installation.

***Note - There is a mandatory site visit scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2026 at 9:00 am CST.  Suppliers who are interested in submitting a bid must attend the site visit.  Failure to attend the site visit will result in a bid rejection.***

Note To Supplier: Model/Part Number and Descriptive Literature

The brands and model numbers referenced provide a level of quality, and unless otherwise specified, are not restrictive. Suppliers quoting alternate items must provide a complete model/part number as well as descriptive/technical literature for consideration and evaluation with their quote. Reference to literature with a previous solicitation will not satisfy this requirement.  Failure to provide the required literature may result in the rejection of the supplier’s response.
