Description
The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) requires project monitoring services on an “as and when required” basis to provide project decision-makers and other stakeholders with consistent, reliable information and advice on the projects’ progress, help partners make corrective adjustments as needed and achieve better development results. An integral part of the services to be provided as a result of this contract is to provide a platform for communication and sharing of lessons learned and best practices to ultimately improve health programming in Tanzania. These services provided under the contract are also a means of managing the risks associated with the significant size and complexity of these projects and helping partners coordinate their efforts with complementary projects in the sector.
The monitoring services required include performance measurement (collection of actual data on indicators); review of that information to assess if the project/program is on track and to identify problems, challenges, and/or gaps; and make recommendations for adjustment. Monitoring also includes the provision of “real-time” information about the use of resources, and the progress made in achieving outputs and outcomes. This enables DFATD and its partners to make timely adjustments during the project/program cycle to increase the likelihood of achieving intermediate and ultimate outcomes. It will also include regular verification of results through site visits and spot checks.
The estimated contract period will be 60 month(s).
