U5 Cooling Tower Water Treatment Services

The City of Lakeland Department of Electric intends to enter into an agreement with an experienced water treatment service company to provide a comprehensive water treatment program for cooling water on the Unit 5 generating unit using reuse water for cooling the condenser at McIntosh Power Plant. The CONTRACTOR shall implement the water chemical treatment that was developed at McIntosh Plant for its cooling tower and associated cooling systems. Chemical treatment is to include comprehensive testing to ensure a quality control system, and an online real time monitoring system viewable by all Multi-Craft Operators. The chemical program needs to be electronically tracked allowing for easy system determination of unit range controls. The range parameters will be set as agreed upon by OWNER for best quality and economics. CONTRACTOR shall supply and maintain the chemical feed systems with immediate response of failures to insure proper operation. Contractor shall maintain condenser in a cleanly state as to not limit the heat transfer of the condenser.

THIS RFP SHALL RESULT IN A TWO (2) YEAR CONTRACT WITH AN OPTION FOR THREE (3), (1) YEAR RENEWALS UPON MUTUAL CONSENT.
