Beacon WWTF Aeration Blower Replacement

COB Bid No. 2025-016
Sealed Bids for the construction of the “Beacon WWTF Aeration Blower Replacement Project”
will be received by the City of Beacon in City Hall, 1 Municipal Plaza, Beacon, NY 12508 until
10:00 a.m. local time on December 16, 2025, at which time the Bids received will be publicly
opened and read. Bids are requested for:

The work consists of replacement of the existing aeration blowers and associated piping, existing
equipment pad demolition, new concrete equipment pad installations, and associated electrical
work.
Documents may be obtained via electronic means from: Proposal and Bid Notices – City of
Beacon (beaconny.gov), Bidnet, and NYS Contractor Reporter. Paper copies of the Contract
Documents and Plans may be obtained at Tighe & Bond T&B Engineering and Landscape
Architecture, P.C., 47 West Market Street, Suite #2, Rhinebeck, NY 12572. Phone 845-516-5800,
between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. starting on November 4, 2025. Persons shall leave
name, correct mailing address, phone, fax and email address, along with a $100.00 deposit for
each set of documents and plans. The deposit shall be in the form of a check or money order
ONLY, for each set and shall be drawn payable to the City of Beacon. Addenda, if any, will be
issued only to those persons whose name and address are on the record as having obtained the
contract documents.
A non-mandatory pre-Bid conference will be held at the Beacon WWTF, 90 Dennings Avenue,
Beacon NY, on December 2, 2025, at 9:00 am. Attendance is strongly encouraged, as no other
access to the site will be provided.
The City of Beacon reserves the right to waive what it deems to be informalities relating to a
specific bid, to waive what it deems to be technical defects, irregularities and omissions relating to
a specific bid, to reject any or all bids, to request additional information from any Bidder, to re-
advertise for new bids, or to accept the whole or part of any bid which, in the opinion of the City
Council of the City of Beacon, is in the best interest of the City of Beacon. The City of Beacon
will not discriminate against bidders because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age,
disability or marital status. Every worker employed in the performance of a public work
contract shall be certified as having completed an OSHA 10 safety training course, in
accordance with Labor Laws.
A bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall include a
5% bid bond.
