NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SINGLE SOURCE

SS-25-0557BC 911 Alerting System, PAE Fire

Response Due No Later than Thursday, September 18, 2025, 11:00 am, Pacific local time.

This is a notice of the County’s intent to procure a product on a single source basis under the authority of Snohomish County Code 3.04.180. This Notice is not a request for competitive bids or proposals as there is no solicitation available. Any responses received as a result of this Notice of Intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this Notice of Intent to Award on a Single Source Basis will not be considered as bids, quotes or proposals.

Scope and Purpose of Procurement

Snohomish County intends to proceed with a single source procurement for a real-time, online, 911 Alerting System for Paine Field Fire. The alerting system will connect directly to Snohomish County 911 Dispatch’s server via the web and notify the PAE Fire Station of calls using word and phrase-based human voice announcements. The new system will replace the obsolete VHF radio-based system. The proposed awardee is Locution Systems Inc. The estimated value of this product/service is $70,000 for the first year with an estimated ongoing annual cost of $5,500 per year. The proposed length of contract is five (5) years.
