Pursuant to N.C.G.S 143-129, sealed single-prime Bids will be received by the Onslow Water and Sewer Authority (ONWASA), at the ONWASA offices in Jacksonville, North Carolina, until 2:00 PM EST, January 28, 2024 for Contract 1A Forcemains and until 2:30 PM EST January 28, 2024 for Contract 1B Pump Stations. Bids for each will be immediately thereafter publicly opened and read at the bid time, for constructing the following facilities:
SOUTHEAST SERVICE AREA WASTEWATER CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS - CONTRACT 1A FORCEMAINS AND CONTRACT 1B PUMP STATIONS
Project construction will be let under Two Contracts with construction including, but not limited to, the following major work items:
• CONTRACT 1A: FORCEMAINS
o Construct approximately 8,700 linear feet (LF) of 12-inch diameter force main, which includes two jack and bores and one horizontal directional drill, from the proposed Holly Ridge Pump Station to existing 12-inch force main at the intersection of Morris Landing Road and Holly Ridge Road, as shown on the Drawings.
o Construct approximately 2,350 LF of 18-inch diameter force main, which includes one jack and bore, from the proposed Summerhouse Pump Station to the temporary plug location on Holly Ridge Road, as shown on the Drawings.
o Construct approximately 1,600 LF of 8-inch diameter treated effluent force main, including one jack and bore, from the existing Summerhouse Reclaimed Pump Station to the existing Holly Ridge Spray Field Storage Pond, as shown on the Drawings.
• CONTRACT 1B: PUMP STATIONS
o Construct Holly Ridge Pump Station at the Existing Holly Ridge Wastewater Treatment Plant site. Pump station to include two (2) new submersible pumps (and space for a third), monorail pump lift crane under roof, back-up diesel pump, emergency generator, electrical building with electrical and telemetry equipment, and associated piping, appurtenances, roads, and site work.
o Construct Summerhouse Pump Station at the existing Summerhouse Water Reclamation Facility site. Pump station to include submersible wet well with three submersible pumps (and space for a fourth), valve vault, monorail pump lift crane under roof, back-up diesel pump, emergency generator, electrical building with electrical and telemetry equipment, and associated piping, appurtenances, roads, and site work.
o Replace existing Reclaimed Water Pumps with new Reclaimed Water Pumps and associated equipment.

0, telephone (910) 455-0722, and the outside of the envelope must be marked either as SOUTHEAST SERVICE AREA WASTEWATER CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS – CONTRACT 1A FORCE MAINS OR CONTRACT 1B PUMP STATIONS. Contractors are allowed to bid on one or both contracts, as desired. If a Bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed as above. Bids submitted by FAX transmission or by email are not acceptable and will be rejected. Bids must be made on blank forms included in the Bid documents. The name, address, and North Carolina Contractor's license number of the Bidder shall be marked on the sealed envelope.
NC Certified HUB Contractors are encouraged to submit bids for all bidding opportunities at ONWASA.
