Description
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Americus (Owner) to replace the roof mounted 3-ton Carrier Gas Electric Package 14 SEER System at 119 South Lee Street.
The 3-ton Carrier gas electric package 14 SEER system replacement contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive qualified bidder whose bid meets the requirements and criteria set forth herein.
Bids will be received by the City of Americus at 101 West Lamar Street, 3rd floor, office 307, Americus, GA 31709, no later than 10:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this location at 11:00 a.m. local time. Any bid received after 10:00 a.m. local time on the bid opening date will not be considered by the OWNER. Bids will be evaluated by the OWNER and the project award is anticipated upon completion of this evaluation. Bidders are invited to attend bid opening.

Scope of Work
1. Remove existing 3-ton Carrier Gas Electric package unit that is currently located on the roof and replace it with a 3-ton Carrier Gas Electric package unit 14 SEER.
2. Use existing power wiring and disconnect boxes
3. Tie back into existing duct system
4. Use existing 7-day programmable thermostat control
5. Removal and disposal of existing equipment
6. Minimum warranty: 1-yr labor, 1-yr parts, 5-yr compressor, 5-yr heat exchanger
General Requirements
¿ Contractor is responsible for complying with all State and Federal laws.
¿ Contractor responsible for being OSHA compliant.
¿ Contractors will be responsible for all permits, debris removal, and must provide proof of business license and adequate insurance coverage before the contract is awarded.
Payments
Payments to selected bidder may not be made for up to 60 days after receipt of invoice
