INVITATION FOR BIDS
Please be advised, the City of Bridgeton will receive sealed bids for the New Access Control System until 2:00 p.m. (Central Time) on TUESDAY, November 12, 2024 (“Closing Time”) at the Bridgeton Government Center, 12355 Natural Bridge Road, Bridgeton, Missouri, 63044, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Project consists of the replacement of the existing City Hall access control with a new Enterprise Grade access control system (cloud-based), upgrade will be a one for one replacement of all existing card reader locations plus ten (10) new card readers at new locations as shown on the plans. The project will also include upgrading the access control system at the City’s Recreation Center. The system upgrade at the Recreation Center will include 5 existing card readers plus one additional card reader at a new location, to a cloud-based system providing a single system for both the City Hall and the Recreation Center.
Pricing to be broken out as City Hall Access Control Bid Item #1 (Base Bid) – replace existing system in City Hall. Bid Item #2 is for the upgrade to the existing system located at the Recreation Center. Both City Hall and the Recreation Center will require cloud-based access. Bid Item #3 shall be for a new credential card printer in the bid documents.
Bid packages will be available beginning October 16, 2024, from the Bridgeton Government Center, 12355 Natural Bridge Road, Bridgeton, Missouri 63044 for a cost of $10.00 per set. Questions regarding this project should be directed to Robert Gunn, Director of Public Works, at (314) 739-7665.
Prospective Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid informational meeting. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers, 12355 Natural Bridge Road, Bridgeton, Missouri 63044 to discuss the documents that are part of the bid package. All prospective bidders should review the information included in the bid packet, attend the meeting, and be prepared to ask questions which will clarify the requirements of the City with regard to the services to be provided.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a cashier’s check or certified check, or a Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an approved Surety Company, and payable to the City of Bridgeton, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the sum total of the bid. Not less than the prevailing hourly rates of wages as found by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri, or determined by court on appeal, shall be paid to all workmen performing work under this Contract and Contractor will indemnify and hold the City of Bridgeton harmless, therefore.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive all informalities in the Bids or waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days, subsequent to the specified time for receipt of Bids. No low bidder shall have a business expectancy merely because his bid is the lowest one received, until the contract has been awarded, no business expectancy exists. Bids may be withdrawn solely for demonstrated and verifiable clerical or typographical mistake, but not mistake of judgment. Bids will be considered unresponsive if they contain any material defect or deviation. The City reserves the right and sole discretion to reject any and all bids.
