The William Street stormwater repair project involves the renovation of existing facilities and installation of new facilities, including a section of stormwater pipe along the west-bound rightof-way on William Street between the Emancipation Highway bridge and Westwood Drive in the City of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Proper care will need to be taken to avoid utility conflicts. A right-of-way permit from the Public Works Department will need to be obtained by the successful contractor. As shown on the attached plan sheet, the scope of the work specifically includes stabilizing the eroded existing drainage ditch along William Street, including removing and replacing 8 of a collapsed 24 drainage pipe, refreshing existing rip-rap, seeding, and stabilizing the eroded area. This work is considered maintenance work of the existing facility. All work must adhere and comply with the most recent edition of the VDOT Road and Bridge Standards and Specifications, the City Code, DEQ Erosion and Sedimentation Control Handbook and the specifications regarding Flex Mat.
