Description
The University of Alberta is inviting the submission of Proposals to supply a gold sputter coater and carbon evaporator for the department of Biochemistry. The instrument will be used for fabricating substrates on grids for cryogenic electron microscopy. Researchers will create a polymer mask on basic EM grids which will then be covered in carbon or gold via this device. This instrument will be a part of the department’s grid-fabrication suite. The successful proponent shall supply, install, maintain and provide training for the proposed equipment.
