Starlanding and Swinnea Roundabout

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Southaven, Mississippi will
receive written sealed bids until the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. local time, on July 9th, 2026 at the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Southaven, at the following address:

Received Bids will then be publicly read aloud in the City's Board Room at 10:15 a.m. local time. Bids are for
the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of that certain project
designated as "Starlanding and Swinnea Roundabout". Project Documents are on file and can be viewed at
the office of the City Clerk.
Bids are for improvements to the existing intersection of Starlanding Road and Swinnea Road. The existing
intersection will be converted to a roundabout. The project will consist of clearing and grubbing, earthwork,
drainage, aggregate base installation, asphalt paving, traffic striping, concrete paving and related
improvements.
The total Contract Time will be 120 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $500.00 per
consecutive calendar day thereafter.

Copies of the drawings and specifications, together with contract documents, may be obtained from the City
Clerk's office, with payment of $200 reproduction costs for each set, none of which is refundable.

The City of Southaven reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any information and
irregularities therein, solicit new bids, award the bid to the lowest and best bidder.
