CLAREMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
ELECTRIC EXTRICATION TOOLS
Prospective Vendors,
This Claremont Fire Department is soliciting formal proposals for the purchase of electric extrication tools.
Attached are the specifications for the electric extrication tools that we are requesting you to bid (sealed) on. Proposals will be accepted at:

All proposals must be received no later than Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at 0900. Immediately following the September 4th, 2025, 0900 deadline, a formal bid opening will be held, where the sealed bids will be opened and read aloud.
Please mark your submissions “RFP-CLAREMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT ELECTRIC EXTRICATION TOOLS” on the outside of your envelope.
It will be the responsibility of the submitter to note on their quote any deviations from the specifications requested.
The City of Claremont reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal in the City’s best interest.
Electric Extrication Tools Specifications
***Tool must meet a 10,000 PSI or equivalent operating pressure***
b. One (1) battery-powered cutter, with a minimum cut opening of at least 5 inches.

c. One (1) battery-powered combination spreader/cutter tool, with a cutting opening of at least 10 inches and spreading distance of at least 15 inches.
2. Battery Requirements
a. Each tool must include:
i. One (1) primary battery
ii. One (1) spare battery
b. All tools must be compatible with commercially available battery platforms (e.g., DeWalt, Milwaukee, Rigid)
3. Charger Requirements
a. One (1) battery charger capable of charging 2 to 4 batteries simultaneously
4. General Requirements
a. All tools must be cordless and powered by interchangeable battery systems
b. Tools must be designed for use in emergency vehicle extrication and meet industry safety and performance standards
c. Bidders must provide detailed product specifications, including tool dimensions, weight, performance data, and warranty information
