CH-53K® Inertial Measurement Unit ASIC/FET Obsolescence Redesign

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded delivery order N0001924F2573P00001 under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-23-G-0002 to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC), 6900 Main St. Stratford, CT 06614-1378, on an other than full and open competitive basis. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." SAC is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the CH-53K airframe, as well as the sole integrator of the avionics and weapons systems, and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data that can meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis.
