The District is seeking qualified firms to conduct controlled burns across 7 projects within 7 Forest
Preserves. Burns will be conducted to aid in the maintenance of natural processes, restore soil
fertility, increase seed germination and control invasive woody species. This work will consist of
obtaining all necessary permits, creating required burn breaks, fuel ignition and suppression. Each
project will be awarded individually.
