1483 Buffalo Street Stormwater Pumping Station Improvements

The City of Olean desires to make structural repairs and upgrades to the Buffalo Street underpass stormwater pumping station. This station receives stormwater from local roadways and the underpass and conveys it to the Two Mile Creek. This station was constructed in the late 1950’s and is in need of structural repairs due to the corrosive environment of the wet well. Much of the materials are corroded and worn to the point which entry and occupancy for maintenance purposes has posed a safety threat. Much of the work will need to be performed in a confined space area and the contractor will need to follow all necessary guidelines for safe work practices.
