Solicitation Description:

Introduction

The Health and HumanServices Commission (“Owner”), forand on behalf of its Health and Specialty Care System Division (“HSCS”), is soliciting CompetitiveSealed Proposals (“Proposals”) forselection of a General Contractor (“Contractor”)to provide general construction and construction administration services to theOwner for Project No.24-108-LFL, Fire Sprinkler System Upgradesat Lufkin State Supported Living Center (the “Project”), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Solicitation.

Project Summary: The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to,the following:

Providecomplete and operational fire protection systems. The systems shall bedesigned, fabricated, installed, coordinated, tested and placed into service inaccordance with the applicable codes and standards listed on the drawings,local authority requirements and the contract documents.

Thegeneral scope of work shall consist of the following for all areas of theproject:

Building529 – provide NFPA 13D Fire Sprinkler systems to protect the entire building.

Building552 – provide NFPA 13 Sprinkler Protection at the existing freezers.

Forcomplete Project information, refer to Attachment H-1, Project Drawings andAttachment H-2, Project Specifications, to Exhibit C.

Project Estimate: The approximate cost for construction of the Projectis $324,045.00.

AllRespondents are required to attend one Facility Site Visit as specified inSection 2.2 (Schedule of Events). Failure to attend in person will result in thedisqualification of a Respondent. Proposals received from Respondents notlisted on the attendance log will not be considered. Potential Respondents mustbe prepared to complete one of the scheduled tours; additional tours will notbe offered.
