GENERAL COUNSEL/LEGAL SERVICES. The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is seeking proposals for legal services that will fill the role of General Counsel for the park and recreation system. The City of Minneapolis Charter, Section 6.3 (e), establishes that MPRB may appoint its own attorney at law. The MPRB Board of Commissioners (Park Board) directed the Superintendent, per Resolution 2026-15, to seek proposals for legal counsel for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. The Park Board annually appoints one legal firm to act as its General Counsel for the organization per City of Minneapolis Charter 6.3.e and act as its legal counsel within the firm’s areas of expertise. This Park Board enters separate contracts with specialized firms as necessary and agreed upon by the appointed General Counsel. For more details on this release, please view the 2026 General Counsel RFP- Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board . For more information, please contact Deputy Superintendent, Jennifer Ringold at jringold@minneapolisparks.org . Deadline: June 12, 2026. 4 p.m. Central Time.
