Internal Audit Co-Sourcing Services

SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is looking for firms to provide services and assistance by supplementing the resources and competencies of the Internal Audit function. Successful firms will be working under the direction of the SHA Chief Audit Officer, and all work products will become the property of the SHA.
Assignments will vary in terms of complexity and length. The scope of services for each assignment will determine which pre-qualified firm the SHA will engage with for the individual assignment.

SPECIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Proponents are required to have:
 demonstrated knowledge of leading Internal Audit best practices
 demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry/environment
 Confirmed conformance to the IIA Professional Practices Framework and Standards
 demonstrated achievement of the core principles for internal auditing
 staff with professional certifications applicable to the assignments they will potentially be contracted to undertake
 staff with professional certifications applicable to the assignments they will potentially be contracted to undertake
 Significant experience directly related to a variety of internal auditing assignments. Healthcare related experience is considered an asset.
 The ability to demonstrate that proposed team members are proficient in the following key skills

o Process and internal controls evaluation
o Accounting

o Risk management assurance
o Data mining and analytics
• Investigative
- SHA requires the ability to work with the Proponent to select specific team members from the Proponent’s proposed list for each specific project/assignment.
- The Proponent may be required to provide team members on short notice, as projects/assignments are determined.
