Synopsis:
|
|
Buffalo Pound Dam is located approximately 30 kilometres northeast of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The dam’s control structure regulates levels on Buffalo Pound Lake and controls releases into the Qu’Appelle River system downstream. Buffalo Pound Lake is an important source of domestic water for the cities of Regina, Moose Jaw, and surrounding communities and for two adjacent potash mines. WSA has conducted various capital upgrades at Buffalo Pound dam in the recent past, most notably bringing 3-phase grid power into site and outfitting all water control gates with Rotork electric actuators.
The scope of this work is to provide contracting services to supply and install a water control gate automation system at Buffalo Pound dam control structure including all:
-
Field wiring

Instrumentation
-
Warning horns and lights
