REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) RFP: DPW - Vehicle Lift

The City of Claremont’s Department of Public Works is soliciting formal proposals for the purchase of one (1) vehicle lift.
Attached are the specifications for this lift and a Bid Sheet to submit your proposal.
Proposals will be accepted at the Office of the City Manager, 58 Opera House Square, Claremont, NH 03743, and must be received by December 11, 2025 @ 10:00 am– at which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud. Please mark “DPW - Vehicle Lift” on the outside of the sealed envelope. Unsealed, late, emailed, or faxed proposals will not be accepted. Please contact the Department of Public Works at (603) 542-7020 for additional information or visit the City's website at https://www.claremontnh.com/procurement.
Persons submitting proposals should note on the bid sheet any deviations from the specifications. Persons submitting should also note any options that in their opinion would be mission critical for its use in a municipal public works department. Any recommended options should be priced separately.
Included in your bid, should be proposed delivery date.
The City of Claremont reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal to be in the City’s best interest.

Prospective Vendors,
The City of Claremont’s Department of Public Works is soliciting formal proposals for
the purchase and installation of one (1) new Four-Post Vehicle Lift with accessories as
listed in the specifications below. Existing lift will be removed by shop personnel.
Attached are the specifications for the vehicle lift and a Bid Sheet for you to submit your
proposal. Proposals will be accepted at the Office of the City Manager, 58 Opera House
Square, Claremont, NH 03743, on Thursday, December 11th, 2025 @ 10:00 AM at
which time they will be opened and publicly read aloud. Please mark “RFP – DPW
Vehicle Lift” on the outside of the sealed envelope. Bids must be received by mail at the
address above or delivered in person before the bid opening time. Late submissions or
emailed submissions will not be accepted.
Persons submitting proposals should note on the bid sheet any deviations from the

would be mission critical for its use in a municipal public works department. Any
recommended options should be priced separately.
Please include, on the attached bid sheet, the total for the lift installed with accessories,
estimated delivery and installation date, (3) references with names and contact
information, that own and utilize the vehicle lift that your company is proposing.

4-post runway lift.
25,000-pound minimum lift capacity.
30,000-pound maximum lift capacity.
Lifting speed of approximately 120 seconds.
2 HP / 220V single-phase motor, single phase only.
5” hydraulic cylinder attached to (4) leaf chains.
Overall length: 27’-3” (with 20’ runways).
Overall width: 12’-6”.
Height at full stroke: 5’ 9 5/16” (top of runways).
Track width: 24”.
Clearence between posts: minimum of 11’
Track adjustment range: 4’ to 8’.
Mechanical and hydraulic safety systems with flow controls and velocity fuses.
Multi-position, single point, safety locks, air actuated.
3-year limited warranty (excluding motor/pump).
Included Accessories
Rolling Jacking Beams (2 units, 15,000 lb. capacity each).
Track Light Kit (LED lights for 20–25’ tracks).
Air Line Option (plumbed air system within tracks).
For use with powered air tools.
Installation (bolt down, start-up, and training).
Delivery and Installation
Delivery to City of Claremont Department of Public Works Facility.

Warranty
Three (3) year manufacturer warranty on structural and hydraulic components.
Vendor shall include warranty details for all accessories and labor.
