'Old Sand Barn' Demolition at County Commons

Summit County Government (“County”) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide services for the following: Demolition and disposal of an existing metal building and its foundation - located in Frisco, Colorado. The Project includes the following general items of work:

• Removal of the existing Sand Storage metal building, concrete slab floor and concrete foundation on site. Disposal shall be in accordance with local Designated Disposal Site (DDS) regulations.

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received electronically with the following text in the subject line: “’Old Sand Barn’ Demolition at County Commons” and must be emailed to daniel.gietzen@summitcountyco.gov until Wednesday May 27, 2026, at 2.00 PM local time. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 12pm MST, Thursday May 28, 2026.

The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who best meets the requirements of the project specifications, Summit County and the public interest.

All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond guarantee in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base proposal bid.

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Owner will not be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

A pre-bid site meeting will be held on Thursday May 14, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. MST/MDT. Meet in 2 ^nd floor lobby in the County Commons Building at 0037 Peak One Drive. We will drive to the project site from there.

The Summit County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities or informalities, and to conduct such investigations or negotiations as it deems necessary to select the most responsible and responsive bid.
