REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)
FOR POCATELLO CITY HALL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
The City of Pocatello is seeking responses from qualified licensed architects (“Firm”) to provide architectural services and related engineering services to complete the feasibility analysis, design and renovation administration of a new City Hall facility located at 150 S. Arthur Ave., Pocatello, also known as the Historic Federal Building.
The City of Pocatello invites interested parties to submit qualifications to assist with the City Hall feasibility analysis, design, and renovation administration. The project involves the adaptive reuse of the Federal Building, a historic landmark with significant architectural and cultural value. The remodeled facility will serve as the new city hall and must accommodate various municipal functions, including administrative offices, meeting rooms, public spaces, council chamber, and support facilities. The awarded firm must have substantive experience with building designs including the preservation/adaptive reuse of historic buildings, building environmental review, building safety review, permitting processes, and the preparation of building documents that comply with local, state, and federal requirements. Firms must have experience completing plans in accordance with the International Building Code (IBC), the International Fire Code (IFC), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, and any other local and state requirements for building improvements.
The awarded consultant shall provide architectural services and related engineering services in order to effectuate the purchase, design and renovation of a new City Hall facility located at 150 S. Arthur Ave., Pocatello, also known as the Historic Federal Building.
The City of Pocatello is a municipal corporation located in Southeast, Idaho. The City is issuing this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) and anticipates selecting a firm that has extensive experience working in a local government setting. Only the firms responding to the RFQ will be considered. The City will evaluate responses to select a candidate to negotiate a contract. Once negotiated, the contract term will be valid for a 12-month period with mutually executable options to extend based on the availability of funding.
This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Idaho Code Title 67, Chapter 28 (Purchasing by Political Subdivisions), the City of Pocatello Purchasing Policies, and other applicable requirements. Those provisions are hereby incorporated by reference into this RFQ. All contracts must be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the RFQ. If it becomes necessary to revise any part of this RFQ or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all prospective Respondents who received copies of the original request.
