Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ). NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

There are multiple WAPA sites eligible for delivery of these steel structures located throughout the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. Delivery points for the steel structures will be in surface storage areas adjacent to all-weather roads.

The contractor must have established fabrication, welding, inspection, galvanizing, quality assurance and quality control shop practices. Engineering and drafting services are required for design and shop drawings. Skilled labor is required for welding, fabrication, and galvanizing. Individual delivery orders vary from single lattice tower pieces, substation equipment supports, platforms, multiple complex substation structures, and complete microwave towers. The contractor shall be able to cut, bend, fit up, and weld steel plates, shapes, tubes, and bars. Fabricators must be able to operate and maintain heavy duty equipment including a press break, drilling machinery, plasma cutting table, seam welding, and have the ability to galvanize large components (approximately 5 ft x 5 ft x 35 ft). Delivery must be provided across WAPA's footprint.
