INVITATION TO BID
FOR: 2023 Storm Damaged Embankment System and Roadway Shoulder Repair – County Road
490 – Brandy City Road – 1 Location
LOCATED AT: Brandy City Road, approximately 3.6 miles northeast along Brandy City Road
from its intersection with Highway 49
Sealed bids will be received at the office of the
Sierra County Clerk-Recorder
100 Courthouse Square
Downieville, CA 95936
until 3:00 P.M. local time on April 17, 2026, for the above referenced project.
Bids received after said time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all bids that have been properly submitted will be
publicly opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend.
The work to be performed includes the following:
• Installing construction area signs
• Clearing and grubbing
• Slope excavation and grading
• Roadway reconstruction
• Constructing a shotcrete retaining wall
• Erosion and water pollution control
• Biological monitoring
• Maintaining traffic
• Disposing of surplus excavated material
All work shall be completed within the contract period of 90 c al endar days following written
Notice to Proceed.
Bids shall be Combination of Lump Sum & Unit Prices. Bids must be for all of the work described
herein.
Plans, specifications, proposal forms, project manuals and all documents relating to this project
