REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
2026 Crushed Gravel
Sealed bids due to Highway Shop by April 8th, at 2:00pm.
Bids will be officially opened and read aloud on April 8 at 2:15pm.
The Lincoln County Highway Department requests sealed bids for 35,000 tons (more or less) of Crushed Surface Gravel within 10 miles of Canton.
Sealed bids are due to the Lincoln County Highway Shop by Wednesday, April 8th at 2:00pm. Bids will be officially opened and read to the public at 2:15pm. Bids not received by the deadline will not be opened and returned to the bidder.

The bid packet is available on the Lincoln County Bids & RFPs webpage at www.lincolncountysd.org or through the department at highway@lincolncountysd.org. Bids submitted on forms other than the those supplied by the Lincoln County Highway Department will not be considered. Bidders do not need to bid for all items listed on the bid form.

Bids will be awarded to the vendor offering the lowest net cost to the Lincoln County who meets or exceeds the specifications, with preference given to materials, products and supplies found or produced within the State of South Dakota. Lincoln County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and make award(s) as deemed to be in the best interest of the county.

• Crushed Particles (minimum) #4 Sieve: 30% 1-CF
A belt sample will be taken and tested at 2,500 ton and each 5,000 ton thereafter at the expense of the contractor. Lincoln County has the right to sample and test at any point during crushing.

The bid includes all shipping and handling charges, and any other applicable taxes or fees. The bid is guaranteed for the contract year. Lincoln County reserves the right to purchase none, more, or less than the estimated quantities at no additional change to cost.
