The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”), and the resulting contract(s), is to obtain services from a qualified and experienced firm or firms to provide certified athletic trainer (“ATC”) services to high school and middle school students in Chesapeake Public Schools (District) in accordance with the Scope of Services section of the solicitation. The Vendor shall serve as the District's designated firm for the provision of Athletic Trainer Services.

Chesapeake Public Schools, including the School Board (hereafter known as the District) seeks proposals from qualified, licensed, and insured firms to provide Certified Athletic Training. Services may include, but are not limited to, evaluation, treatment of injuries sustained through althletic events and practices, application of first aid and recommendation and supervision for rehabilitation if required.

Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), the District is seeking to identify one or more vendors who can most fully meet the needs of the District as specified in this document and any associated attachments.

Based on enrollment, the District is the seventh largest school district in Virginia. With nearly 40,000 students and 6,000 employees in 56 schools and centers, the District is committed to providing excellence in education for the children of Chesapeake.
