Request for Proposal to Provide Renewable Natural Gas Services

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority ("MTA" and/or "Buyer") invites renewable natural gas providers ("Prospective Proposer/Bidder," "Contractor" and/or "Seller") to submit proposals in response to this Request-for-Proposals ("RFP") seeking to pre-qualify firms to supply a portion of MTA’s compressed natural gas (“CNG”) requirements in the form of biomethane or renewable natural gas (“RNG”) derived from non-fossil sources such as landfills, wastewater treatment plants, and/or dairy digesters to complement the MTA's existing resources for MTA Bus operations, beginning approximately August 2025. More specifically, the MTA is seeking Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) Renewable Fuel Standard (“RFS”) compliant solutions for the delivery of RNG matched to its needs.
