The 30th Security Forces Squadron (30 SFS) requires adequate supply of wet/foul weather clothing items for the 517 assigned members. Currently, no stock exists to outfit SFS members for wet weather conditions but rather, only jackets for cold weather conditions. Defenders are required to respond to incidents in the elements during inclement and rainy weather seasons. Properly equipping personnel requires them to have wet weather gear to ensure senses are not degraded due to adverse weather and foul conditions. The clothing items are considered consumables and cannot be reissued to other defenders. Due to PCS and the current inability to issue season-round wet weather gear, this purchase allows the replenishment of perishable supplies that are required IAW DAFI 31-101. The size standard is 600 employees.
