This is a pre-solicitation notice for Security Guard Services at the NIH Bethesda and Rocky Mountain Lab (RML) Campuses.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the continued provision of security guard services to ensure a safe and secure environment for NIH personnel and others at NIH facilities both on and off campus. The contractor shall provide guard services in a manner that is sensitive to the NIH research culture and the diversity of its staff and visitors.
Examples of the services to be provided by the contractor include, but are not limited to:
- Performing perimeter vehicle inspections
- Providing guard service at perimeter employee entrances
- Providing guard services at selected RML Buildings
- Providing guard services for special events
This requirement will be solicited as an 8(a) competitive acquisition. The anticipated contract type is Firm Fixed Price. The estimated date for release of the solicitation is July 11, 2025.
All responsible 8(a) small business sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation. The solicitation will be posted on SAM.gov.
