James City County Police Firing Range Expansion Sitework

James City County is soliciting sealed Two-Step competitive bids from qualified and experienced professional contractors licensed in the state of Virginia with the demonstrated capability and capacity for the demonstrated capability and capacity for the James City County Police Firing Range Expansion project as described in this Invitation for Bids. (See Section 102-9; §6 Scope of Work for additional clarification.)

The work under this project consists of tree felling, grubbing and extensive grading of the proposed firing range.  Work also includes the construction of two BMP’s (A level one Dry Swale and level one Dry Pond) per the approved site plan.  Construction also includes the placement of stormwater structures and associated piping per the plans.  Construction also includes placement of a concrete ADA parking space, along with sidewalks to provide access to future Range Tower and Pavilion as well as firing lines for the range.  The work also includes the construction of gravel drive lanes as well as a twenty-vehicle parking area per the plans.

Importantly, the tower & pavilion as well as their foundations (as shown on the plans) are not a part of this bid.  Also, the proposed septic tank and associated piping (as shown on the plans) are not included as a part of this bid.  The ‘private well’, as mentioned on the approved site plan is not included as a part of this bid.
