2. BACKGROUND

The USAF TPS is where the Air Force's top pilots, navigators, and engineers learn how to conduct flight tests and generate the data needed to carry out test missions. The Qualitative Evaluation (QE) program introduces students to a wide variety of aircraft exhibiting unique flying characteristics or mission systems and is used to broaden the students’ and staffs’ range of experience with unfamiliar aircraft. The targeted GA aircrafts (such as ICON A%, Cessna Wren, Ultralights/Trikes, Light Sport classes) will provide unique flying experiences to students and staff. The aircraft must be able to pass an Air Force Test Center (AFTC) approved Subject Matter Expert inspection. The TPS PM will coordinate and pay for the inspection. All discrepancies noted in the inspection must be corrected and documented prior to execution.

3. SPECIFIC INFORMATION OF INTEREST

The Test Pilot School (TPS) is interested in someone who can supply a several GA (class) type aircrafts for Qualitative Evaluation (QE) flights as described in the Qualitative Evaluation Board (QRB) report at the US Air Force (USAF) Test Pilot School (TPS). The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. All responses should be directed to the point of contact: Jaymi Taplin jaymi.taplin@us.af.mil and Carlos Barrera via email at carlos.barrera.8@us.af.mil.
