Overview

Summary

The City of Pontiac is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the Galloway Park Court Improvements located at 1460 N Perry St., in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Through an innovative public-private partnership, the Council of Michigan Foundations (CMF) is working with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to equitably guide resources that expand access to public recreation opportunities through the Michigan Spark Grant. The Spark Grant will be used to fund this project.

Background

The City of Pontiac is committed to enhancing neighborhood parks by creating recreational spaces that residents can enjoy and take pride in. Galloway Park has been identified as a key location for investment to support active, healthy lifestyles and provide a welcoming gathering place for the surrounding community.

This phase of the Galloway Park improvement project focuses on upgrading the existing court area to create a flexible, multi-use space for sports and recreation. Planned court improvements are intended to accommodate activities such as pickleball and basketball, offering residents of all ages more opportunities to play, connect, and build a lasting connection with their neighborhood park.
