Project Description: Caln Township will receive sealed bids online for the 2025 Road Program. Sealed bids may be submitted and updated online via the PennBid™ Program until May 22, 2025 at 3:00PM local time. The bids shall be opened soon thereafter.
The Work to be done under this contract consists of all labor, equipment and materials to resurface roadways utilizing milling or base repair construction and wearing course overlay, replace bituminous curbs, install concrete sidewalk and concrete curb and detectable warning surfaces for ADA-accessible curb ramps, as well as provide design-build services for ADA-accessible curb ramps. Erosion and sediment control and maintenance and protection of traffic are also included in the Work.

This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
This project is also subject to Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government’s E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond guaranteeing performance of the contract in the amount of 100% of the value of the contract.
A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Letters of credit will not be accepted. Caln Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any immaterial defect or informality in the bids. Quantities are not guaranteed and may vary (+/-).
