Title: Septic Hauling Services
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 6/2/2026
Due Date: 6/25/2026
The County Commissioners of Charles County are hereby requesting sealed quotes from qualified contractors to provide septic hauling, combination truck, and line jetting services on an as-needed basis throughout Charles County, Maryland. The successful contractor(s) will be responsible for scheduled septic pumping at the Chapel Point Woods Water Filtration Plant, as well as emergency and overtime hauling to the Mattawoman Wastewater Treatment Plant. Services must be available seven days a week, with emergency response required within two hours of notification.
This contract is critical to maintaining the County's wastewater infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted service to residents and facilities across Charles County. The addition of combination truck and line jetting services reflects the County's commitment to expanding its contracted capabilities to address a broader range of wastewater and sewer maintenance needs under a single, reliable contract.
Charles County's Department of Public Works – Utilities Division manages wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure serving a growing population across a geographically dispersed service area. The County has historically relied on contracted septic hauling services to maintain storage tank levels and respond to pump station emergencies at various locations, including Bel Alton, Swan Point, Cobb Island, La Plata, Bryans Road, White Plains, and Hughesville. This procurement builds on that established need by incorporating combination truck and high-pressure line jetting services, which are essential for routine sewer maintenance and emergency response operations that the County is increasingly called upon to address. Contractors who can demonstrate experience across all service areas and provide sufficient equipment and personnel to meet response time requirements will be best positioned for award.
