Description

DESCRIPTION

This is a Sources Sought Notice to identify design-build contractors capable of completing the planned B040-B084 Rear Loading Dock Accessibility Upgrades Project. This is not a solicitation for proposal or quotations and no award will be made from this Notice. SLAC intends to issue a formal solicitation later based on responses from this Source Sought Notice.

BACKGROUND

The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) is operated by Stanford University as a contractor for the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science (SC). SLAC supports a large national and international community of scientific users performing cutting-edge research in support of the DOE mission. The success of that mission is directly coupled to the general-purpose infrastructure necessary to conduct this research.

PLANNED SCOPE AND DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The scope of this project is to procure design-build services to address safety and accessibility issues at the B040/B084 loading dock area. This project will transition the space into a safe, functional, and compliant environment through infrastructure upgrades that meet current safety, accessibility, and operational standards. The selected design-build (DB) team will be responsible for all design and construction activities, ensuring a seamless process from concept to completion. Collaboration with SLAC’s Building Inspection Office and other relevant stakeholders is essential to the project's success.

DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

SLAC will use a lowest-price technically -acceptable selection method to identify the most qualified design-build subcontractor. The draft Request for Proposal and relevant references are provided to present the general scope and acquisition method for the project. The draft documents provided are subject to change and should not be construed as a solicitation. This Sources Sought Notice is NOT A SOLICITATION, but instead is to identify interested vendors for the upcoming formal solicitation release.

SOURCES SOUGHT RESPONSE

Interested design-build contractors with the skills, capability, workload capability, and ability to obtain bonding to complete the planned project scope are invited to submit a written response to this Sources Sought Notice. Interested Vendors should express their interest on the Interested Vendors List through this SAM.gov posting, or by emailing the Primary Point of Contact. Please provide the following information via email:

Please provide your response to Quyen Weng at quyen@slac.stanford.edu no later than June 6, 2025, 5:00 PM PST

SOURCES SOUGHT DISCLAIMER:

Please note that any responses to this sources sought posting is purely on a voluntary basis.
