Building 5 Facade and Awning Rehabilitation

NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BID

The Village of Park Forest (the “Village”) is requesting sealed bids from qualified and experienced firms for the Building 5 Exterior Rehabilitation project, consisting of pressure (power) washing, surface preparation, patching, painting, awning refinishing, façade sign removal, and mural surface preparation at the Village-owned commercial building known as Building 5, located at 348 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois 60466.

Sealed bids will be received at the Building Department window, Community Development Department, 2nd Floor, Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois 60466, and addressed to Andrew Brown until 12:00 Noon local time on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and the names of the bidders and the base bid amounts read aloud. Bids received after the stated time will not be considered and will be returned unopened. This Invitation for Bid is issued and advertised on August 4, 2026.

Bid Security Required. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total base bid, in the form of a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check payable to the Village of Park Forest, as further described in Sections 5 and 8. Bids submitted without the required bid security will be rejected as non-responsive.

This is a public works project subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/) and all other applicable Illinois statutes. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, and the required insurance. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid process, and to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the manner that best serves the interest of the Village.

The complete Invitation for Bid may be obtained from the Department of Community Development. Bids must be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope or package marked with the IFB title and the bidder’s name and address. Questions must be submitted in writing in accordance with Section 5.
