SEWERAGE SYSTEM REHABILITATION

CITY OF TENNILLE, GEORGIA
Sealed proposals will be received by City of Tennille, Georgia at the City of Tennille City Hall,
P.O Box 145 or 106 Park Street (No Mail Received at Street Address), Tennille, Georgia 31089
until 11:00 a.m. local time, Thursday, July 30, 2026 at which time and place they will be publicly
opened and read. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt
of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
All Bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and must employ a state
"Utility Manager" certificate holder who will have oversight of all the work.
The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction
of:
Sewerage System Rehabilitation including clean and pre-video approximately
4,953 linear feet of 8-inch sewer lines, rehabilitation of 4,989 linear feet of 8-inch
sewer lines by cured-in-place lining, 6 point repairs, rehabilitation of 10 existing
manholes, installation of 2 new precast concrete manholes, reconnection of 61
existing service connections and appurtenances. Time allotted for this work is 180
consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 240 days for final
completion.
Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form
provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on.
The project is proposed to be funded with a GEFA Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal
Grant. All American Iron and Steel Special Conditions, Davis Bacon and Build America, Buy
America requirements apply.
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Tennille, in the
amount of at least 5% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that
the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance
Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Tennille.
Each bond shall be equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the
City of Tennille as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide
Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified that he has been awarded the
contract.
Drawings and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the City of Tennille and
at the offices of Turnipseed Engineers in Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia.

A digital copy of the plans and specifications as well as one (1) printed copy of the specifications

will be provided upon receipt of $125.00. Upon request, one printed full size or reduced set of
drawings is available at no additional charge.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
