Project Description: Sealed Proposals will be received by Brentwood Borough, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania for its 2025 Sidewalk Replacement Program.
The project consists of the following:
• Replacement of a minimum of 1500 S.F. of 4” thick existing concrete sidewalk.
• Replacement of a minimum of 300 S.F. of 6” thick existing concrete driveway aprons.
• Replacement of a minimum of 1500 L.F. of existing deep-set concrete curb.
Construction will take place within existing municipal rights-of-way adjoining the properties of program applicants. Project boundaries will include, but will not be limited to Clermont Avenue, Glendale Avenue, East Brentridge Avenue, and Graper Street.
Bidder is responsible for traffic control and restoration of disturbed areas. Expenses associated with such activities shall be incorporated into the unit cost of construction.
Copies of drawings, specifications, instructions to bidders, general conditions, forms of proposal, and forms of agreement are available electronically at pennbid.procureware.com. Interested vendors must complete a no cost registration process to utilize this service. Paper copies these documents will not be made available.
All proposals must be submitted electronically at pennbid.procureware.com by 2PM EST on May 15, 2025, and the same will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter. A mandatory pre-bid will be held on May 8, 2025 at 2PM EST.
Bidder shall be required to maintain a performance bond, labor & materials payment bond, public liability insurance, property damage insurance, and worker’s compensation insurance in the amount specified in the proposal documents, and certificates associated with the same shall be filed with the Borough at the time that an agreement is executed with the selected bidder. All proposals shall additionally comply with Pennsylvania prevailing wage regulations.
In order to receive consideration, bidders must electronically accompany with the proposal a Bid Bond from a Surety Company in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after a Notice of Award is issued by the Borough.
The responses provided in the proposal must remain valid for a period of no less than sixty (60) days from the date of the bidding opening. No Bidder may withdraw a Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting the bid bond amount.
The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein.
