7 meter satellite dish removal

The Broadcast Educational Media Commission is soliciting bids for the removal and disposal of a 7-meter Ku-band Earth station satellite antenna from 2470 North Star Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43221.

Bidders should have multiple years of experience with the removal of 7-meter or larger Earth station satellite antennas.

The State of Ohio Broadcast Educational Media Commission (BEMC) is soliciting bids from vendors for the removal and disposal of a 7-meter KU band Earth station satellite antenna located at 2470 North Star Road, Columbus, OH 43221.

The review of submitted bids will be based on vendors meeting the following requirements:

1. Meeting with the Chief of Engineering and Broadcast Operations
2. Submission of two references able to verify vendor’s experience in the safe removal and disposal of a 7-meter or larger Earth station satellite antenna. References will be contacted to verify vendor’s experience. To assist in this process, vendors should notify references that BEMC staff will be contacting them.
3. Submission of proof of insurance.
4. Submission of a written plan detailing the timeline for removal, equipment to be used, and the process for the removal and disposal of the satellite antenna.
5. Submission of quote detailing total cost of the project.

Vendors failing to meet all of the requirements will not be considered in the evaluation of bids.
