Project Description: Public notice is hereby given that the Municipal Authority of the City of Monongahela will receive sealed bids electronically via PennBid until 10:00 A.M. prevailing time on Monday, April 20, 2026 for the following Contract:
CONTRACT NO. 2026-02
Headworks Wet Well & Bar Screen Channel Cleaning
This project consists of the cleaning of debris, sludge, grit and scum from the interior of the headworks wet well, bar screen channel, influent chamber, & overflow chamber. After the grit has been removed, the wet well, channel & chambers; the walls, invert, and piping shall be power washed.
Plans and specifications are available at no cost via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) Bidders may not qualify any of the specifications. Immediately after the closing time for receipt of bids, all bids will be publicly opened with results displayed on PennBid.
A certified check payable to the Municipal Authority of the City of Monongahela or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid, to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
A pre-bid conference will be held virtually on Thursday, Thursday April 9, 2026, at 11:00 A.M through Microsoft Teams. Participation in this virtual conference is strongly recommended for anyone submitting a bid.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
