Description
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Lacombe Research and Development Centre, Lacombe AB, requires a Canadian Lab to provide genotyping analysis using swine-specific low-pass skim sequencing on up to 2,000 swine samples per year, for three years, as part of two studies focused on genetic selection of pigs based on quality traits and slaughter weight. AAFC will provide the Swine Tissue Samples.
Laboratories within Canada are preferred due to the potential restrictions to submit biological material (swine samples) outside of the country.
This bid solicitation is to establish a service contract for the delivery of the requirement detailed in the bid solicitation.
The period of the contract will be from date of contract award to March 31, 2027. The anticipated start date is December 2024.
Mandatory Technical Requirements
Bids will be assessed in accordance with the entire requirement of the bid solicitation including the technical and financial evaluation criteria.
Basis of selection: A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.
SOLICITATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO AAFC AT:
Bids shall be submitted using the CPC Connect service provided by Canada Post Corporation to transmit bids electronically. Bids must be submitted only to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Bid Receiving Unit by the date, time and place indicated in the bid solicitation.

Canada retains the right to negotiate with any supplier on any procurement.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
