Project Description: Reading Area Community College (RACC) is seeking bids from qualified vendors for HVAC Upgrades .The project consists of a comprehensive upgrade and modernization of the building’s HVAC systems, including:Air handling units (AHUs)Condensing units, VAV boxes and associated ductwork/piping,Existing controls and select mechanical/electrical components,Updated building automation system (BAS) controls, Mechanical, electrical, and structural modifications required to support new systems, including:Roof structural supports (dunnage) for equipment,Electrical power distribution and panel updates,Integration with existing campus control systems.
Bids will be received by RACC via the PennBid platform at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com by Friday May 15th at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
This will be a fixed priced contract.
All written requests for clarifications must be submitted by 12:00 PM on May 7th, 2026 . Requests must be submitted in writing through the PennBid platform.
All Bids must be received by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13th , 2026, for the above project through the PennBid portal.
Option Pre-Bid Meeting will be held in the STTC Building in Room 118 at 10:00 AM on the 24th of April 2026.
RACC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities, omissions, errors, mistakes, or defects in any Bid, or to accept or reject any or all bids at its sole discretion in the best interest of the College. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner
