Overview
Summary

Under the terms of this bid, the bidder shall be capable of providing services for the fiberglass repairs of the Primary Settling Tank launders and troughs located at the Westerly Wastewater Treatment Center (WWTC). The Primary Settling Tank fiberglass launders and troughs were installed and in use since 2000. These fiberglass components are critical to the functionality and performance of the Primary Settling Tanks as they are designed to meet treatment capacity requirements. The fiberglass launders and troughs have shown significant damage due to UV degradation and freeze-thaw cycles throughout their lifespan. To prevent further damage and a potential decrease in treatment performance of the Primary Settling Tanks, this contract will include removing damaged areas of existing fiberglass, preparing repair areas for proper adhesion, and apply new fiberglass infills and patches to maintain the integrity of the launders and troughs.

The project is to be completed within six months of the start date. By submission of this bid, the bidder warrants that it is understood that this estimate was prepared by the Sewer District for the purpose of comparison of bids and that the estimated quantity is not guaranteed.

Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting and Site Inspection will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025.
