Description

Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide Overdue Notices to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia by and on behalf of the Georgia Public Library System (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFQ.

The University System of Georgia (USG) oversees 25 public colleges and universities and plays a crucial role in advancing education, research, and public service throughout the state. As part of its mission to promote lifelong learning and ensure equitable access to information, USG administers the Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS), the state agency that supports public libraries across Georgia.

This Request for Quotation (RFQ) seeks qualified suppliers to support the Georgia Library Public Information Network for Electronic Services (PINES) by delivering patron notices and overdue item recovery communications. The selected supplier will ensure effective, timely patron outreach, helping maintain access to library services and supporting the continued success of the PINES network.

Overview of the eRFQ Process
The objective of the eRFQ is to select one qualified supplier to provide the services outlined in this eRFQ to the State Entity.  This eRFQ process will be conducted to gather and evaluate responses from supplier for potential award.  All qualified suppliers are invited to participate by submitting responses, as further defined below.  After evaluating all suppliers¿ responses received prior to the closing date of this eRFQ and resolution of any contract exceptions, the preliminary results of the eRFQ process will be publicly announced, including the names of all participating suppliers and the evaluation results.  Subject to the protest process, final contract award(s) will be publicly announced thereafter.
