The Town of Middleton is a regional service centre, with a population of 1,900. The Town provides a wide range of services including fire, police, public transit, roads, waste and recycling services, water supply and distribution, wastewater treatment, libraries, and recreation and cultural services.
The Town of Middleton is seeking quotations from qualified and experienced
accounting firms registered as municipal auditors pursuant to the provisions of Section 457 of the Municipal Government Act, to audit its financial statements for a five-year period, with an option to extend services for an additional period of up to 3 years. Middleton Town Council must formally appoint its auditors for each fiscal year.
It is expected that all information received by, or in connection with, the applicant in working with the Town will remain confidential except where required by law or with the Town’s explicit written consent. The Town of Middleton’s procurement processes follow its Procurement and Purchasing Policy (# a.1.25).
