Cultural Resources Consulting Services RFQ

The Town of Chapel Hill seeks written statements of qualifications (SOQ) from professional cultural resources firms (Consultant) specializing in cultural resources, archaeological consulting, and field investigations. The Town and the Consultant would negotiate a scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and budget.

The successful Consultant will demonstrate proficiency and experience in identifying historical sites, including cemeteries and cultural landscapes, and the appropriate technologies typically used in these kinds of activities. The Town is particularly interested in partnering with a firm that honors the history and greater context of a project site and demonstrates commitments to centering equity.

All submittals are due by 3:00 PM November 5, 2025, to the Purchasing and Contracts Manager by email to zalam@townofchapelhill.org with “Cultural Resources Consulting RFQ” in the subject line of the email. Please note that e-mailed proposals must be received by the specified deadline according to the internal clock of the Town of Chapel Hill’s server receiving the proposal. Please do not submit paper copies.

Any questions concerning the project should be directed to Maggie Simon at msimon@townofchapelhill.org by 12:00 PM on October 30, 2025. Responses to questions received will be issued as an addendum and posted on the Town’s website at www.townofchapelhill.org by 5:00 PM on October 31, 2025.
