Description
.1 The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite submissions from qualified proponents for the replacement of the Good Samaritan’s current Electronic Medical Record system (EMR). The new system must be cloud based, scalable, and capable of meeting Good Samaritan’s regulatory requirements, Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), and Alberta Health’s ACCIS.
.2 Given the evolving needs of our workforce, particularly in the context of the criticality of capturing and recording of resident information, Good Samaritan has an opportunity to improve the overall functionality of its electronic medical records practices and integrate health data with other internal and external business systems. A new EMR system solution will provide an opportunity to enhance operational efficiencies; increase the quality of resident care; improve staff engagement and work satisfaction; and ensure that the Good Samaritan maintains high standards for its healthcare facilities and operations.
